Bid Option Available

We are taking bids for lambs, particularly deliveries in June 15 through September 15 timeframe, when historically our numbers run a bit lower. You will find the bid sheet enclosed. If you are interested in bidding your lambs, instead of sending through the Co-op at the current market price, please read carefully through the instructions.  If you have any questions please give us a call.

B Shares

Thank you to all the B Shareholders that have returned their Preference Survey and for your overwhelming support for Mountain States Lamb Cooperative.  If you have not had a chance to send your preference sheet in, please do so as soon as possible.

Pelt Certificates

JBS Swift provides us with unshorn pelt certificates on a regular basis.  If we have the pelt certificate in the office at the time the check on your lambs is mailed we will enclose the certificate.  Often the pelt certificates come in after your check has been mailed, in which case we mail them to you as soon as possible.

Natural Documetnation

Please make sure your feedlot has a 2008 Natural Affidavit on your natural lambs when they are sent to the feedlot.  If you feed natural lambs yourself you need to submit a natural affidavit and shipping affidavit to the office when your lambs are sent.  All feedlots must submit natural affidavits, feedlot affidavits, and shipping affidavits on natural lambs presented for harvest. All documentation must accompany the lambs when they are shipped, to be presented to Swift by the trucker, and copies faxed to the office.

We are moving a large quantity of lambs right now, many of which are natural. We need your help to make sure your kill is processed correctly.  We cannot accept any lamb as natural without proper documentation.

Our bank is watching checks closely for proper endorsements. All payees must endorse the check or it will be returned. If both you and your bank are listed as payees, you both must endorse.  This will insure your lamb payments are credited to your account in a timely manner.
